2017 Gift Guide for Kids

I have entirely too much fun putting together this gift guide for kids each year. It’s always made up of a few things kids want and a few things they need, and a few things that fit both categories.

Faith-based, Creation-themed books

I cannot wait to get my hands on Trillia Newbell’s new children’s book, God’s Very Good Idea: A True Story of God’s Delightfully Different Family.

If you need a book for a child who has lost a grandparent this year, my new book, Where Did My Sweet Grandpa Book?: A Preschooler’s Guide to Losing a Loved One, makes a beautiful gift. (Its award-winning companion, Where Did My Sweet Grandma Go?, is also available.)

Sweet Grandpa Book

LEGO Batman minifigure alarm clock

Fun and functional, this LEGO minifigure alarm clock is also available as Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Robin, and Joker, to suit every kid on your list. I’m thinking this would be a sweet way to help my oldest wake up for school in the mornings!

American Girl Wellie Wishers dolls

My girls love the Wellie Wishers series on Amazon. I love their messages of kindness, empathy, friendship, and teamwork and their love of nature, animals, and the outdoors.

CROCS rain boots

My girls have outgrown their rain boots, and I was super excited to find out that CROCS makes adorable, comfortable, and sturdy wellies for kids!

Hallmark ornaments

I really enjoy commemorating a milestone or special event in our kids’ lives each year with a Hallmark ornament–like a ballerina for our youngest daughter’s first dance recital or a mountain scene for our daughters’ first trip to Colorado this summer.

Crayola storage ottomans

It seems we can never have enough toy storage, and I’m loving these brightly colored Crayola ottomans for toys, books, and art supplies.

What’s on your kids’ list (or your list for your kids) this year?

Let me know in the comments.
