2016 Christmas Gift Guide for Her

Gift guides are kind of my favorite.

This year’s ‘Christmas Gift Guide for Her’ has a pinch of glamour, a dash of cheer, and, of course, a heaping helping of Texas style.

Christmas Gift Guide for Her

For the accessories lover

Y’all know I love my lightweight, custom-made Lavish Leathers earrings, but their tassel necklace is currently on my wish list. Visit Sienna and Amber, the sisters behind this beautiful product line, at their new storefront inside Creative Escape in Buda, Texas, this weekend at A Christmas Affair at Palmer Events Center in Austin, or online at LavishLeathers.com.

And, brand-new for this holiday season, I’m offering sterling silver Texas Strong necklaces through Zazzy, with all proceeds benefiting my favorite local nonprofit, Alzheimer’s Texas.

My newest accessory love, though, is Banded headbands. They’re pretty, they never slip, and each product purchased “provides 3 meals for a child in Uganda, Latin America, or the Caribbean.” I get my Banded fix at Little Bluebird in Buda, but you can also order their headbands at Banded2gether.com.

For the candle collector

I have long been a fan of hand-poured, soy wax candles and recently discovered these Hello George natural soy candles made here in Austin. My friend Monica offers these, in scents like Christmas Hearth and Frasier Fir, in her Buda boutique, The Stitch Shoppe, but you can also order from their Etsy shop.

For the inspiration junkie

There are so many great new books and music out this year to put on the wish list. Present over Perfect: Leaving Behind Frantic for a Simpler, More Soulful Way of Life from Christian author/speaker Shauna Niequist and The Magnolia Story from Texas’ favorite couple, Chip and Joanna Gaines, are my current uplifting must-reads.

My playlist picks for this year are Louisiana lady Lauren Daigle’s and Texas girl Kacey Musgraves’s new Christmas albums, Behold and A Very Kacey Christmas, respectively. I’m also digging married duo Amanda Sudano and Abner Ramirez of Johnnyswim’s new album, Georgica Pond, after seeing them perform at the BELONG Tour in Dallas this fall. (Their title track is a tribute to Amanda’s late mom, whom she lost shortly before having their first child.)

For the coffee connoisseur

My big wish list item this Christmas is the new Keurig HOT 2.0, which offers all of the perks (pun intended) of a single serve coffee maker plus hot water on demand, for when I really just want tea.

And, while we’re in the kitchen, can we talk about Ree Drummond’s recently unveiled Holiday Cheer collection? Yes, I think we can. I’m smitten, because teal, scarlet and poinsettias feature prominently in her new Christmas dinnerware, mugs, serving pieces and table linens.

Everyone’s favorite Pioneer Woman has also added gorgeous, new Farmhouse Lace dinnerware, in ocean teal (my personal favorite), linen and claret, and some new, vintage-style Adeline glassware pieces, like a butter dish and salt and pepper shakers, to her collection for Wal-Mart, so we can continue to stock those cabinets and counters in Ree style!

Maren Kacey Miranda and Me loveofdixie

For the t-shirt queen

My first ever collaboration with my girl JD Doty of Harpo Graphics is our “Maren, Kacey, Miranda & Me” super soft, Bella+Canvas triblend tee, inspired by Texas country music heroines–Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert. Available in both women’s (fitted) and unisex versions, these shirts are $24 plus tax and shipping. Comment below with your email and desired size, up to 2 XL (please specify women’s or unisex version), to order.

JD also has an awesome line of holiday raglan tees available in her Etsy shop. (P.S. Her “I Believe” Santa raglan is available in both women’s and youth sizes for some precious Mommy and Me matching.)

{Oh, and check out last year’s gift guide, too, because it’s still awesome, even if it’s not full of brand-new products.}
